It’s a pleasure to announce I have a new book on the way – The Great, the Good and the Misunderstood. It will be out soon and of course I’ll be in touch with all the details when it is but I felt an early heads up was appropriate. So what is the book about? Here’s the description –

Many of us can think of someone we admire who is underrated or not fully recognised in their field. In this book, Douglas Anderson presents the case for the musicians, comedians, writers, social reformers and others he believes are worthy of wider respect. Much more is addressed and critiqued throughout ranging from why the best thing about football isn’t in fact the game itself to how we should all look to the Beastie Boys as inspiration before embarking on bouts of ‘serious fun’.

Thought-provoking and featuring personal memoir, The Great, the Good and the Misunderstood completes a loose trilogy. It will have you primed for further investigation into its subjects and might even prove a catalyst to re-examine the works of others you believe deserving of reappraisal.

I hope that wets the appetite. As I say, I’ll be back in touch very soon when the book is published and with all the details as to where to get it. Exciting times indeed. See you behind the goals…
