Good list there Dougie, although I would have added Roots Manuva's '4everevolution' and Radiohead's 'King Of Limbs'.

Dougle, looking forward to giving them all a listen back to back at work tomorrow. I've put them all into a Spotify playlist for you to share. Unfortunately the only album not on Spotify is Stevie Jackson.

Really well considered piece, it’s good to read an appreciation of football stadia as much for their physical existence as what happens inside them. The trend for out-of-town grounds somehow, in my opinion, diminishes the impact of them – the Britannia Stadium, for example, is largely surrounded by car showrooms, and there is far less contrast as a result in comparison to those grounds in more traditional locations. An empty stadium standing quiet has just the same majesty – albeit of a slightly different variety – as one bustling and alive on match day.

Hey Mr Dougie
Isn't your story just evidence that the whole thing is a 13-year old's dream and an adult nightmare? It has reverted us all back to teenage behaviours, maybe even pre-teenage, 'Will you be my friend...' And then a whole new way of getting dumped! The truth is, for keeping in touch, even with those who live away, email and telephones seem to work pretty well.
I joined facebook for a day, got 'friend requested' by a guy who'd been at school with my SISTER. Not even ME. Asking how I was, he no doubt had a vague memory that I existed. I doubt he'd recognise me if I sat on him. That was enough of a Facebook experience for me. No more. It's just all so freaking babyish.
But fun article, I'll keep reading you. I've loved your intervention on Iain Lee's show, your imitating places conversation was truly marvellous. Hands stay up for parteeee had me laughing far too loud in public.
All the best, Irene
